CA Budget Analysis


The state budget signed by Governor Jerry Brown on June 30 makes significant cuts to California’s safety net.  For a review of the budget implications read the CA Budget Project’s analysis. Healthy Water for All Californians

On August 31, CCPHA joined people from communities that don't have access to clean water and leaders of environmental justice and ecumenical organizations at a state Capitol rally to demand answers about why AB 685, a bill CCPHA is co-sponsoring to establish every Californians’ right to clean water, was stalled in the Senate Appropriations Committee. Rally participants delivered tap water contaminated with asbestos, nitrates, and other toxins to legislators to highlight the need for access to healthy, safe water. Learn more here.
